From what I've seen in shops recently, it's quite popular. But just like the WoW CCG, I think it's just a fad.
So surf on the wave while it's hot, but don't overstock it.

A fad? I have to disagree with you here Mike.  I think it's quite popular because it's a good game.  I enjoy it alot.  Some people doesn't want to invest time and money to play a game like warhammer.  Wow Miniature is mre accesible to new player because you can play right out of the booster pack.
Only time will tell if it's a fad or not.

Just my two cents.

A year ago, all the Thai card players were explaining me how Mgic was dead and how WoW CCG was the new great game. Now, I bought leftover stocks from a shop at a discount because they were so happy to get rid of it.
WoW Miniature game might be good, but it's still awfully expensive for what you get in the box. Plus the painting is far from stellar on some pieces.

We'll see how it'll go, I don't claim to have the gift of prescience, but I honestly don't see the game selling for more than a couple years, at best, before something else newer and shinier catch the attention of the gamers.

I didn't think that WOW CCG is any good to be honest. It's too similar to magic, too restrictive on what you can put in your deck.   I also have agree with you mike, that the Miniature pack is very expansive, I think it's the main reason why some people don't want to play the game.  If the price is cheaper I think this game might have a chance to be popular in Thailand.

Btw  Mike. any chance that you will start a Star Trek RPG group? Bane told me that you have all those books. I can't find it on sale for some reason. I really want to play that game, If I want to start playing my first rpg. It'll be nice if it's Star Trek!

Well I'll get some in and keep a steady flow coming to support the interest then, potentially like we can for War Machine we can build a "store stock" of some core models so that people can try models and see what they like before buying them, or work on a pooled system for people who don't mind sharing their minis.

Hopefully the battle terrain we have will fit for WOW as well as WM / Hordes / WH / Anima and FoW. :)

Cheers

WoW miniature uses a hexagonal grid map, and not a large one. It's very different from WarMachine as it doesn't require a ruler or such standard miniature games tools.
